Rural
Gamers Network | Rules
We
don't have too many rules at our parties. We just want
everybody to have fun. So follow these simple steps and
nobody gets hurt and nobody goes to jail.
RGN is not a legal
entity. We cannot and will not be responsible for lost,
stolen, or damaged items. This includes both Hardware,
Software, AND YOU. In other words, you can't sue us if you
have a bad night. On with the rules:
- Respect others property! Only
touch others stuff if you have THEIR permission.
- Don't touch the hub or servers.
We will connect for you.
- All machines on the floor. We
have limited table space and this will help get the
most people seated.
- Don't go behind the tables. Too
many cables and nobody wants to see a machine hit
the floor.
- Only plug into RGN power
boards. We will point them out.
- Ask a RGN crew member how to
get on the network.
- No alcoholic beverages. Nobody plays
here while intoxicated.
- No smoking in the building.
Smoking is permitted outside.
- No weapons, drugs, etc.
- No Warez, Illegal software
and other content.
- Don't hack our LAN or other
machines
- Please have the legal version of
all the games you intend to play
- Remember...it's just a
game.....don't make a virtual fight a real one.
- No screaming - an occasional
whoop is fine.
- No excessive profanity -- There
are over 20 thousand words in the English language.
You can avoid overusing two or three of the more
vulgar phrases for an 8 hour stretch.
- NO CHEATING! This should
really go without saying, but anyone caught cheating
during a tournament could be subjected to copious
amounts of ridicule and might even get their name(s)
posted as BIG CHEATING LOSERS! Keep in mind
that during team tournaments - once you are dead you
may not relay ANY information to your surviving
teammates - this will be considered cheating.
- You must be 15 years of age or
older. Since the games are rated for mature players
15+. Sorry, but this is a legal decision, we do this
for fun and do not want any legal action taken
against us.
- Refunds will not be given at
Rural Gamers Network If you must cancel for some
reason, please notify the Webmaster
24 hours prior to the party.
- Antiviral software
installed, definitions up-to-date, and computer
scanned BEFORE the LAN party. We hate to have
to say this, but if you bring an infected computer
to Rural Gamers Network, either knowingly or not,
you will be asked to leave. If you are unsure,
ask a RGN crew member to help you BEFORE hooking
into the network.
Having said all that,
we have never had any of the above happen. And don't
intend to start now. So please don't break these rules as
we don't want to have to remove you from the LAN Party.
Have fun!
